Licensing Terms Defined

Licensing means that a work is used with permission. If an author gives you direct permission to use a work at no charge or for a fee, then you have license to use the work according to the terms set by the author. Our Product Warranty

We guarantee the quality of our products. For 3 years from your original license purchase date, if the sound or video quality does not meet your satisfaction, or becomes defective please let us know and we will gladly replace it for you. This warranty is only valid on programs produced by Star Thrower Distribution.

Replacement Policies

Lost Program Replacement
For 1 years from your original license purchase date, if you lose a program, Star Thrower will replace the program for a small service fee.

Star Thrower does reserve the right to deny free replacement of lost programs if a program is lost repeatedly. Shipping charges do apply.

Defective Program Replacement
For 3 years from your original license purchase date, if a program is defective, Star Thrower will replace it at no charge. The client must return the defective copy to Star Thrower before we send a replacement. If the client needs a replacement program before returning the defective copy, a stream of the program will be made available.

Damaged/Worn Out Program Replacement
For 3 years from your original license purchase date, if you damage the program or it wears out, we will replace it. The client is responsible for shipping charges both directions. The client must return the damaged copy to Star Thrower before we send a replacement. If the client needs a replacement program before returning the defective copy, a stream of the program will be made available.

Delivery Formats

Recent changes in technology have made it easier to deliver our films on a wide range of formats. Below is a list of the most common delivery methods:

DVD
Still a popular choice; a DVD allows a single user access to the content via a laptop, desktop or stand-alone DVD player. For security, all of our DVDs are encrypted. Laptops and desktop computers require software (such as PowerDVD) to play programs. For more information of recommended DVD player software, click here.

Digitizing, copying and/or duplication of film is strictly prohibited. For group training and individual viewing. Single monitor use only.

Streaming
Streaming is becoming a more popular option; allowing multiple users access content anytime, anywhere. A fast internet connection is suggested. You can either purchase streams by the view, or for a specific amount of time. We offer licenses to stream individual products and for product bundles. USB Flash Drive
A USB flash drive is a great option for a person who wants the convenience of a DVD, but has a laptop without a DVD player. We can also load multiple programs on a single flash drive. All flash drives are encrypted.

Can I rent your programs?

Yes. Almost all of our programs are available for rent. Please select the 'Rental' option when adding a product to your cart.

Do your films come in languages other than English?

Many of our programs are translated into foreign languages.

Our DVDs are region free. They can be played anywhere in the world, on any player, or on a DVD player that is capable of handling discs from anywhere. More information on DVD region codes:  Wikipedia: DVD region codes.
